The Band

Auralust
Auralust is a band with a passion for music. Each individual member has worked over the years with many different genres of music to arrive at this stage of their evolution. Their love of music is their life, their passion, their dedication and purpose. Anything less would not be acceptable to them. This is who they are. Sit back and enjoy something you have never experienced before.

Ian Jackson - Drums
When fellow high school classmates asking if he knew how to play drums confronted Ian, he boldly lied and showed up to their very next band practice. His charisma and loyalty to his love of music instantly led him to create his very own careful, yet carefree style of playing. It’s never been like In to settle. After juggling multiple bands throughout his career as drummer, Ian has put his everything into Auralust. It’s utterly impossible not to notice his diverse background by watching him play just one show.

Josh Kolb – Lead Guitar
Josh has had a love for music and performing since the day he was born. Playing in a band has been huge part of his life since 1999, when he started a ska/reggae band. He moved on to play in many other bands, ranging drastically in styles. He has played and performed anything from Jazz to Grindcore. His one philosophy when it comes to music that he continues to live by is,” If it’s fun, I’ll play it”

Steven Lightfoot - Lead Vocal
Through a colorful life, pure perserverance, hard work and an undying love for music, Steven Lightfoot was brought to Portland, Oregon. Filling in the ranks of an already extremely talented band, he put on his own uncompromising touch to Auralust. As driven as ever and with magnetism he exudes, he and Auralust leave their mark everywhere they play. Without remorse or restraint and voice that has neither this young man see’s what he wants and takes it.

Matt Thomson - Bass Guitar
Matthew never desired surrounding himself with anything other than music, action and a solid work ethic. He never decided music was only to be an extracurricular activity. While running and operating a small project studio and consistently playing/writing music on multiple instruments, this rhymthic genius has found a home with like minds, wanting nothing more than to progress and own whatever the hard work has earned him. “To be well versed in all musical aspects, instrument, arrangement, production, etc. and truly honestly enjoy what you do or create is something anyone can identify with.”
